SAWS staff attended the annual National Wilderness Stewardship Alliance (NWSA) conference in Big Bear, CA, which was held October 24-27, 2013. Several representatives from stewardship organizations across the country came together to share ideas and participate in workshops. The event culminated with a stewardship day in the nearby San Gorgonio Wilderness, where participants fixed some erosion issues on a popular trail leading to one of the southern-most aspen groves in the country.
