Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Are you interested in ensuring equal access for all to our nation's public lands? Do you want to be a part of an organization that creates jobs and bolsters communities? Well, the SAWS Board of Directors is currently seeking candidates who may be interested in serving on its growing and dynamic Board.
In our upcoming Fall meeting, we’ll be adding five (5) directors with terms ending in November 2023, with an option to serve a second three-year term (ending in November 2026).
The Board of Directors actively seeks diverse identities, backgrounds, experiences, and areas of expertise to support the work of SAWS through mission-based leadership and strategic governance. SAWS is committed to diversity, equity, inclusion, access, and antiracism in our work and partnerships. Board members with experience in development, financial planning, legal or policy expertise, strategic planning, communication, or leadership roles within a Board are preferred.
We can’t possibly find the best candidates alone, so we need your help in nominating yourself or others! Many qualified candidates exist outside of our personal and networking circles, so we’re grateful for any help we receive in identifying potential Board members. Most importantly, we’re looking for high-performing people with a capacity to serve, and who value keeping the outdoors available for everyone!
We hope you’ll apply today! Applications will be open for the next 30 days.
