Belfast Trail Maintenance July 25, 2026, 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
Join us for some much-needed trail maintenance along the Belfast trail. The hike in is 2 miles and can prove to be strenuous in sections but incredibly rewarding as we pass through the infamous "Devil's Marbleyard" with sweeping views of Arnold Valley. The total mileage for the day will be just shy of 5 miles. The work will entail using loppers, sheers, and handsaws to cut back heavy overgrowth that has been a result of Matt's creek fire in 2023.
No experience is necessary. PPE and tools will be provided.
Participants should bring plenty of water, lunch, sturdy footwear, and long pants. Sunscreen is also recommended.
We will meet at the Belfast Trail/Devil's Marbleyard Trailhead (37.57117, -79.49162).
