Kim Woodford currently works as a Commercial Sales Manager with Cleveland Public Power, a municipal utilities of the City of Cleveland in which her responsibilities include relationship and project management for new and existing large customers.
Kim is a lover and advocate of nature and is enthusiastic when it comes to increasing representation of Black and Brown people in greenspace. She spent four years as a volunteer leader with Outdoor Afro where she curated hikes that yielded over 300 people of color into national and local parks. In 2018, she founded Journey On Yonder, a consulting, experience and community engagement business that is centered on Diversity Equity and Inclusion and Wellness in Greenspace.
Kim holds a bachelor’s in Communications Production. She’s a Certified Ohio Volunteer Naturalist as well as a Tree Steward. She serves on the local board of the Public Relations Society of America as chair of diversity and inclusion. She is also a founding member of Black Environmental Leaders (Bel) in Cleveland, Ohio.
When not out on a trail, Kim enjoys spending time family, her husband Kelvin and puppies, Zoe, Max and Tux.
