Jodie Goldberg

Board Member Emeritus

(she/her)

Jodie lives in Washington, DC, where she currently serves as the Managing Director, Foundation Relations for America Rivers. Jodie has more than 22 years of fundraising experience. Throughout her career, she has played a key role in crafting compelling proposals to raise the funds needed to protect some of our planet's most magnificent lands and waters. In addition to American Rivers, has worked in fundraising departments at the Pew Charitable Trusts, The Wilderness Society, and The Nature Conservancy. Jodie has also worked at the Red Cross, OMP (now Obrien Garrett), and Dickstein, Shapiro, Morin & Oshinsky LLP.

During her time at The Wilderness Society, she developed a deep love for preserving public lands and became enamored with the work of the Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards. That love has deepened during her board service and she is incredibly proud that SAWS now holds an office location in her hometown of Roanoke, Virginia.

Jodie enjoys scuba diving, learning sign language, storytelling, hiking and traveling with her two kids and supporting her husband's business, Mess Hall. She has a BA from Virginia Tech, where she double majored in English and Communications.
