The Bridge Program is a candidate hub focused on Black, Indigenous, People of Color, LGBTQ folks, people with disabilities, and those from other underrepresented communities in the environmental sector. The hub is a space to find vetted job opportunities, network, access professional development, and receive career navigation support. It also allows employers to share job postings with our pool of candidates, receive equitable hiring training, and connect with candidates and fellow employers.


Addressing an important need for increased racial diversity and inclusion in the environmental sector, The Bridge Program offers an equitable hiring pathway hosted by Greening Youth Foundation and Southern Appalachian Wilderness Stewards. Building off Greening Youth Foundation’s nearly 20 years of experience recruiting people of color, The Bridge Program expands equitable access to fulfilling careers in the conservation sector. Launched in 2021, The Bridge Program has worked with hundreds of underrepresented candidates and helped them secure a wide range of environmental jobs in communications, policy, law, operations, sales, development, philanthropy, human resources, and more.
