Partnership and Community Outreach Coordinator
Raised in a military family, Leandra grew up in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Her love for nature began as an obsession with nature documentaries and visits to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo. In 2014, she earned her B.S. in Environmental Science from Baylor University. After graduating, Leandra relocated to Albuquerque, New Mexico where she worked for the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service as a data intern. During this time, she discovered her passion for communicating and interpreting scientific material to the public. Leandra later worked as the Coordinator for a community coalition focused on environmental education and youth employment.
In her free time, Leandra is an artist and enjoys bird watching, hiking, nature journaling, and chasing beautiful sunsets.
