Kristy Ealdwine is currently a Wilderness Specialist for the Chattahoochee-Oconee National Forest working in Rich Mountain Wilderness, Tray Mountain Wilderness, and Raven Cliffs Wilderness. Kristy previously was a Wilderness Specialist for Daniel Boone National Forest and the George Washington & Jefferson National Forest. Before that, she worked for SAWS as a Trail Crew Leader.
Kristy got involved with conservation through trail work in Maine, Utah, Colorado, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Her time with SAWS grew an enthusiasm for preserving wilderness.
Kristy has a personal passion for native Appalachian plants and permaculture herb farming. She with lives with her partner on an off-grid homestead surrounded by the Daniel Boone National Forest.
