Jim is a Wilderness Specialist based out of Asheville, North Carolina. He is working with the Wambaw Swamp, Little Wambaw Swamp, and Hell Hole Bay Wilderness Areas in the Francis Marion National Forest on the coast of South Carolina and the Ellicott Rock Wilderness which is split between Sumter, Nantahala, and Chattahoochee National Forests in the Appalachian Mountains.
Jim is from Raleigh, North Carolina and received a bachelor’s degree in Biology from North Carolina State University. He has previously worked with a wide variety of conservation programs across the country to protect native species and their habitats. Jim is excited to contribute to wilderness stewardship on our public lands.
